Getting started on desktop

Sign in, connect a model, open a folder, start working.

First run, in order

1. Sign in with your account email and the verification code.
2. Connect a model runtime — point Bridge at your local endpoint, such as an Ollama or vLLM server.
3. Open a folder you want to work in. Bridge works against real folders on your machine.
4. Start a session and put it to work.

The governed workspace

Bridge is built so the AI works inside boundaries you set: it operates in the folders you opened, and actions that touch your files go through the workspace’s permission model rather than happening silently.
