Revoking device access

Cut off a lost or retired device in one action.

Updated August 2026

When to revoke

  • A phone or laptop is lost or stolen.
  • You are retiring or selling a device.
  • A pairing shows up that you do not recognize.

How

Open your devices list — on the desktop app or your account’s devices page — find the device, and revoke it. The pairing is removed from your account and the device’s keys stop being honored.

After revoking

The revoked device cannot reach your desktop or your sessions. If it was your own device and you want it back, pair it again from scratch — pairing always requires your approval on the desktop, so a revoked device cannot quietly re-add itself.
