Encryption in Bridge

Pairing establishes device keys; sessions are end-to-end encrypted.

Updated August 2026

At pairing time

When you pair your iPhone with your desktop, the two devices establish cryptographic keys with each other. The QR code you scan is part of that exchange — it happens between your devices, not through a shared secret Alluqi holds.

After pairing

Traffic between your paired devices travels through Alluqi’s relay encrypted end to end using those device keys. Everything also rides inside TLS, the same transport security your bank uses — but the end-to-end layer is what keeps the relay itself blind to your content.

If a device is lost

Revoke it. Its keys stop being honored, and the device would have to re-pair — with your approval on the desktop — to ever reconnect. See Revoking device access.
