Settings and personalization

Find the shipped local settings and preserve your choices.

Applies to Bridge rc.32

Make the desktop comfortable

Appearance controls light and dark themes, fonts, contrast, transparency and motion. General includes composer, queue, editor, terminal and supported notification choices. Keyboard shortcuts lets you rebind supported commands. Availability can vary by operating system.

Personal instructions and memory

Personalization includes tone, custom instructions and memory choices. Writing examples use material you explicitly save. Review memory before enabling it; a local preference does not authorize reading a connected Library or other account data.

Profiles and compact tools

A local display name or avatar color changes this desktop’s profile, not hosted account identity. Mini and local companions are separate from the main chat. Do not assume independent animated-pet or cross-device parity.

Advanced settings

Configuration owns shipped endpoint, credential-status, audit, rate, planning and compaction controls. Plugins, MCP, Browser, Computer use, computer history and Appshots each have separate boundaries. Git, environments, hooks and worktrees can affect local execution; review their scope before changing them.
