Tools, plugins and skills

Connect the tools a task needs and keep their permissions clear.

Applies to Bridge rc.32

Understand the pieces

Tools perform actions, skills provide task instructions, and plugins can bundle both. MCP connections expose tools from a connected service. Review what is enabled, connected and permitted before a task uses it.

Connect deliberately

Use Settings to manage Plugins, skills and MCP servers. A listed integration still needs its required connection and authorization. Do not put credentials in a prompt or assume that installing a plugin signs you into its service.

Documents and other outputs

Available local tools cover supported PDF, document, spreadsheet and presentation operations. Native Excel control requires its own supported workbook and connection. These tools do not make every external app or file format interchangeable.

Read the result

Review generated documents and any proposed external action. Skills do not grant permission to send a message, publish a file or change an account by themselves.
