Two-factor authentication

Add an authenticator-app code on top of email sign-in.

Updated August 2026

What it adds

Two-factor authentication (2FA) asks for a six-digit code from an authenticator app — like 1Password, Google Authenticator, or Authy — in addition to your email verification code. Someone who gets into your inbox still cannot get into your Alluqi account.

Turning it on

Enable two-factor authentication from your account’s security settings. You will scan a QR code with your authenticator app, then confirm with a first code to prove the setup worked. Recovery codes are issued at the same time — store them somewhere safe.

Turning it off

You can disable two-factor authentication from the same settings, which requires a current authenticator code. If you have lost the authenticator, use a recovery code to get in first — see Recovery codes.
