Work with files and code
Use project files, editors and review tools within an approved scope.
Applies to Bridge rc.32
Open the right project
Choose the folder you intend to work in. File mentions and attachments provide task context; they do not automatically grant access to unrelated locations. Review additional-directory permissions before expanding scope.
Inspect edits
Use file, Markdown, image, PDF and diff views to inspect supported outputs. Review old and new content before applying a change. Local revision and checkpoint behavior has limits; shell-made changes are not covered by every file undo path.
Run and verify
Shell and terminal actions follow the chat’s permissions. Run the project’s relevant checks and read the results. A tool call that starts a process is not proof the process completed successfully.
Git and handoff
Review the working tree, branch and diff before committing or opening a pull request. Posting, pushing and merging need the right repository authority and user instruction. Keep unrelated changes intact.
